ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Position: CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities

A Certified nurse aide (CNA) works in support of the patient’s/client’s safety, dignity, well-being and ability to remain living at home. The CNA travels to the patient’s/client’s home to provide direct care, under professional nursing supervision, in accordance with a written Plan of Care that includes personal care, grooming, ambulation, special procedures, homemaking, meal preparation, housekeeping and assistance with other activities of daily living.  The Certified Nurse Aide is supervised by a RN. 

Qualifications / Skills Required

  1. Have a high school diploma or GED, or a satisfactory combination of education and life experience needed to perform the duties and essential functions of the job. 
  1. Have a valid Rhode Island CNA License. 
  1. Have the willingness to travel throughout the service area.  This includes being able to drive and have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance or have the ability to independently travel on public transportation.  
  1. Demonstrate good communication skills and mature attitude.  
  1. Be honest, dependable and be able to perform the physical demands of the position. 

Position: Home Health Aides/CNA

Responsibilities

  • Personal care, which includes help with baths, personal hygiene, hair grooming, skin care, ambulation, assist with dressing, assist with commode, medication reminder, activities of daily living, transfer to bed or wheelchair, encourage self help.
  • Daily living tasks, which include dusting, dry mopping, vacuuming, washing dishes, making beds and changing linens, cleaning and sanitizing the bathroom and kitchen, floor care, emptying a commode or catheter, keeping the patient area clutter free.
  • Preparing & assisting with meals
  • Light shopping & prescription pickup
  • Laundry
  • Companionship

Qualifications / Skills Required

  • Over the age of 18
  • Legally eligible for employment in the US
  • Current state license / Nurse Aide License
  • Temporary state NA license accepted

Position: Homemakers

Responsibilities

  • Daily living tasks, which include dusting, dry mopping, vacuuming, washing dishes, making beds and changing linens, cleaning and sanitizing the bathroom and kitchen, floor care, emptying a commode or catheter, keeping the patient area clutter free.
  • Preparing and assisting with meals
  • Laundry
  • Light shopping and prescription pick up
  • Keep the home environment safe

Qualifications / Skills Required

  • Over the age of 18
  • Legally eligible for employment in the US
  • Homemaker Certificate. Certificate provided after completion of training.
